Stay Africa Volunteers is based in the beautiful coastal city of Cape Town, South Africa.
We provide a safe environment for international volunteers who are looking to make a positive impact on the lives of less fortunate members of our local communities.
We provide everything from your airport pick-up on arrival in Cape Town, to your accommodation, specified meals, placement at a suitable volunteer project, and 24/7 support and guidance by our local team.
Our aim is to provide a seamless and unforgettable social travel experience that will create amazing memories and friendships, that will last a lifetime!

Cape Town is an amazing volunteer destination!
Besides the breathtaking natural beauty with numerous beaches, mountains, forests, etc., it’s also a city of great contrast and cultural diversity! You will meet so many like-minded people here and get to immerse yourself fully in the local sights, sounds and tastes that this destination has to offer.
Our volunteer house is perfectly located just outside the city centre in a suburb called Observatory, and you will be within 10 – 15 minutes’ drive of our iconic Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront shopping complex (ferry to Robben Island departs from here), Camps Bay & Clifton Beaches, Sea Point Promenade, the historic landmark communities of Bo-Kaap and District Six, Lion’s Head and Signal Hill (popular for sunrise/sunset hikes), as well as numerous markets, museums, etc.
You also have everything you need during your stay, within walking distance of the house! These include supermarkets, cafes and coffee shops, bars and restaurants, laundromats, and even running/jogging trails.
On weekday mornings, you will volunteer at your allocated project and then have the afternoons and weekends free to explore the city and do activities with the other volunteers – you have endless options, with everything from hiking, chilling at the beach or surfing, renting an e-bicycle and cruising the streets, to more adrenalin activities like skydiving, paragliding, quad biking, safari game drives and awesome weekend tours!
